Ingredients:
2/3 c. soft shortening (half
butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Direction:
Cream butter and shortening;
beat in eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and add to
mixture. Stir in milk and vanilla. Bake in 2 (9 inch) layer
pans for 25 to 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Frost with
your favorite chocolate frosting.
