Darjeeling
is one of the best hill stations in the country. It is
situated at the top of the West Bengal, in eastern
India. Here the whispering of the cloud could be heard.
The clouds even try to enter into the room to make a
private affair. A cloud can be seen in the lap of the
hill or three feet above the road. Whenever someone
crosses that he / she would get drenched. Himalayan
range is posed uniquely with its green pastures there
just in front of Darjeeling. One Himalayan peak
Kanchanjangha is covered with ice throughout the year.
The tourist enjoys the beauty of Kanchanjangha even from
their room of the hotels. At dawn, the wave of the
melting gold glorifies the queen Kanchanjangha. During
April – May , Magnolia and Rhododendron flowers
magnifies the charm of the valley. There is no
comparison of hill queen Darjeeling.
It
is 2185 meter or 7100 ft. high from sea level. The
city starts from the Rail station. Then it
developed haphazardly over the steps of the hills.
Highest temperature in summer is 18.5 degree C.
Lowest temperature in winter is 1 degree Celsius.
April- May and October –November are the good
time to tour Darjeeling. |
